In partnership with Journeys Festival International

Three creative drop-in workshops aimed at young people from refugee backgrounds aged 8-13  years will be led by Music Action International. The sessions will be led by local musicians from refugee backgrounds who will work with the group to inspire them with a celebration of rhythms, traditions and melodies, to create a new song together, inspired by their own hopes, and dreams for the future.

Music Action International’s specialist sessions use music and creativity to support young refugees to reduce potential effects of trauma, to feel happier in their new home, and to believe in a brighter future.

If you would like to take part, feel free to drop into any of the sessions or for more information contact Rethink Rebuild on 0161 222 9779 or info@rrsoc.org

A sharing of the work will take place as part of our family day on Sunday 14 October, at the Whitworth.
